PORCELAIN (VITRIFIED) TILES

Porcelain or vitrified tiles represent the highest form of technological advancement in the ceramic tile industry. They are highly regarded for their strength and durability qualities that occur due to the high firing temperatures.

The key features of porcelain include overall strength, resistance to scratching, resistance to staining, low absorption, low porosity and single material throughout. The benefits of this product are that it is a low maintenance flooring product that is hard wearing and maintains its original look throughout its life. Porcelain tiles are available in matte, polished, textured and glazed finishes.

ENCAUSTIC TILES

Our range of beautiful encaustic tiles are all hand selected. We have a wide range of patterns and colours. They can completely change the look of a space and create an instant atmosphere,warmth and charm. They can enhance any space from an old character filled residence to a modern stylish apartment.

MOSAIC TILES

Tiles by Kate has a colourful range of mosaic tiles in various sizes and shapes for use as features or wall panels in bathroom, kitchens, swimming pools and water features.

We also have an extensive range of beautiful mosaics from all over the world which add class and style to all applications.

CERAMIC TILES

Classical, beautiful and durable, ceramic tiles are one of the most practical building materials ever made. Like all ceramic materials, tiles are hard, strong, hygienic, easy to clean, non-combustible and fire resistant. Ceramic tiles are made from clay biscuit (body) topped with glass-like glaze and fired at high temperatures in a kiln. Ceramic tiles are available in many styles, colours and textures making the design options endless for bathrooms and kitchens, living areas and outdoors.

NATURAL STONE

We have a superb range of natural stone range including; Travertine, Marble, Sandstone, Limestone, Basalt and Slate. We have tiles, pavers, cladding and specialty pieces to suit all indoor and outdoor requirements. We source stone from all over the world to meet standards of both commercial and residential projects.

As these are natural stones they are subject to variation and each tile/ piece is unique and different which is what makes it so beautiful and appealing.

OUTDOOR TILES

At tiles by kate we carry a wide variety of outdoor tiles including floor tiles, wall tiles and feature tiles for balconies, driveways, paths, decks, patios and entertaining areas including pools. We carefully select our tiles to ensure that they are appropriate for their purpose including safety and durability.

POOL TILES

We have an extensive range of tiles, mosaics and pavers in both porcelain and stone to add style to your pool and spa. Many of these come with matching pool coping and bullnoses. We also have a large range of pool mosaics and claddings for decorative walls and water features.

ZELLIGE

Traditionally handmade in Morroco, zellige tiles are made from clay which is baked and painted by hand. As a result there can be slight color bleeding, small chips, and minor color variations. These are features that add to the beautiful patina and rustic charm. The unique way that these tiles are glazed gives the appearance of a pearlescent lustre.
